Start with the question
A heartbeat answers whether an external process completed on time. Lifecycle events answer whether work was queued, started, skipped, retried, failed, or completed. Output assertions answer whether a completed run delivered the minimum business result. Uptime probes remain a separate signal for public HTTPS availability.
